Sarband is the Farsi word for being ‘at the mountain’s summit’. It was named in memory of a ca…nyon in old Teheran where rustic restaurants, perched on the rocks, offered mouthwatering grills and mezze.
Diners would climb up to the restaurants, sit on traditional day beds covered in beautiful Persian carpets or gather around dinner tables to enjoy a delicious food selection accompanied with freshly baked bread, wholesome stews and grills.
